How do I point my domain to 4GoodHosting? Print

  • 0

For your domain to load your 4GoodHosting website and email, it must point to our nameservers. Set all four:

  • ns1.4goodhosting.com
  • ns2.4goodhosting.com
  • ns3.4goodhosting.com
  • ns4.4goodhosting.com

If your domain is registered with another company (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.)

  1. Log in to the account where you manage the domain.
  2. Find the Nameservers (sometimes under DNS or domain settings) and choose to set custom nameservers.
  3. Replace the existing entries with the 4GoodHosting nameservers above, and save.

If your domain is registered with 4GoodHosting

  1. Log in to the billing portal at https://4goodhosting.com/billing2/clientarea.php.
  2. Hover Domains and click My Domains, then click the manage (wrench) icon for your domain.
  3. Open Nameservers, enter the nameservers above, and save. (To edit individual records instead, use DNS Management.)

How long does it take? Nameserver changes usually take effect within a few hours, and up to 24 hours for everyone worldwide, while DNS updates propagate. To preview your site before the change finishes, see How can I visit my site before propagation?
