Submit your website to Search engine Print

  • 0

Modern search engines discover new websites automatically, but you can speed up indexing and monitor how your site appears in search results by registering with the official webmaster tools. Submitting a sitemap helps search engines crawl every page of your site.

Google Search Console

  1. Go to search.google.com/search-console and sign in with a Google account.
  2. Click Add property and enter your domain name.
  3. Verify ownership. The easiest methods are adding the DNS TXT record Google provides (in the billing portal under Domains > DNS Management), or uploading the HTML verification file to your public_html folder using cPanel File Manager.
  4. Once verified, open Sitemaps and submit https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml.

Bing Webmaster Tools

  1. Go to bing.com/webmasters and sign in.
  2. Add your site (you can import it directly from Google Search Console) and submit the same sitemap.

Tip: most CMS platforms generate a sitemap for you. WordPress does this automatically, or with an SEO plugin such as Yoast or Rank Math. You do not need to resubmit after every change; search engines re-crawl your site on their own.
